The Orbis server

File Access (files available through http)

Provides http access to directories and files on Orbis with an authenticated ISU net-ID. Not all web browsers support the authentication, such as Netscape. Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer have worked well for us.

When first accessing a directory, you will be prompted for a username and password. You must enter your full ISU email address as username (net-ID@iastate.edu).

Protect your work, Log off

Remote Desktop allows you to disconnect without closing your programs. Logging off insures that your files are safely closed and saved.
